Riverside, CA
They never told me they were giving him Remdesivir. I just discovered that a few days ago on his medical records.
I asked you guys everyday how his organs are doing and you guys said he was doing fine.
Sent Home to Get Worse
“He came home with some antibiotics, an asthma pump, and oxygen.”
My husband started feeling sick on July 30. He came home from work saying that he wasn’t feeling well and he was going to go lay down. The next day he woke up on the 31st saying that he had body chills and felt very sick, so he was going to stay in bed on August 1st. The next day he said I’m gonna go take a Covid test, I think I might have Covid. He then came home after his Covid test and decided he was going to quarantine upstairs in one of the rooms. On August 5, he got the results back saying that he was positive but then he was already having fever, body aches, chills, and was just feeling very sick. I was giving him everything that the doctor told me to give him. They told me to treat the symptoms with Robitussin and aspirin, all the over-the-counter stuff.
Finally on August 11 he asked “Can you please take me to the hospital because I can’t breathe.” I took him to the hospital and waited in the car because I was not allowed to go in with him. He came back out with oxygen and he was diagnosed with Covid pneumonia. He came home with some antibiotics, an asthma pump, and oxygen. He was home for two days then on August 12 he said, “Call the ambulance because my breathing is not getting any better.” I called the ambulance at 3 AM and they picked him up. He was able to text me and FaceTime me the whole time he was in a regular room. So from August 12 to August 23 we were texting and FaceTiming but he did have on the BiPAP. They never told me they were giving him Remdesivir. I just discovered that a few days ago on his medical records.
The Ventilator
Finally on August 24 they called me saying that my husband was having a hard time breathing and they were afraid that his lungs might give out because of the BiPAP machine and that it would be best to put him on the ventilator. I didn’t know and I was not informed that if he was put on a ventilator he probably wasn’t going to come off. They made it seem like my husband was going to rest and the machine was going to do its job. That he was going to heal and come home. So they put him on the ventilator on August 24.
The Hidden Truth
“He went from having Covid pneumonia to kidney failure.”
The doctor would update me everyday and everyday I would ask how his organs were. Everything was fine according to the doctor. He said that he was on his way to recovery but he could still go either way. Finally on September 12 at midnight they called me saying that it was not good and that my husband wasn’t doing too well. They said that they would call me back if he didn’t get any better. They called me back later at 3 AM, saying that I needed to come say goodbye. When I walked into the hospital I didn’t like what I saw.
My husband was cold and he had a thin little blanket. He had blood in his ear and his beard was dirty. I yelled at the doctors and said “Is this why you don’t let family in? He looks horrible.” I then noticed that in his bag where he urinates he only had a little bit of urine. I asked them what this was all about and they said this was because his kidneys had failed. I said well why is it that nobody ever told me this and why am I just finding out after asking. I asked you guys everyday how his organs are doing and you guys said he was doing fine. Now how did his kidneys fail? He went from having Covid pneumonia to kidney failure. How did that happen to my husband? He did have diabetes but it was controlled. Then I had to say goodbye to my husband. He passed away on September 12 at 12:30 PM. He’s been gone for six months now.
